Brush and Breathe is an art-based therapeutic group designed to help young people explore emotions, build confidence, and learn practical coping skills - all through creativity. 

This small, supportive program blends expressive art-making with evidence-based psychological strategies in a calm, safe environment.

  • Across six playful and structured sessions, young people will:

    • Express themselves through hands‑on creative activities

    • Build emotional awareness and language

    • Learn calming and coping strategies

    • Explore strengths and resilience

    • Connect with peers in a safe, supportive space

    • Develop confidence through art and shared experiences

    Each session includes grounding activities, creative exploration, and gentle reflection — always at each young person’s pace

  • When: Tuesdays, 4–6pm
    Where: Candid Psychology, Warragul
    Cost: $100/session
    Format: 6 weekly sessions
    Group Size: Maximum of 8-10 participants
    Facilitator: Madison Moore, Psychologist

    This group is designed for young people who benefit from:

    • Predictable, calm environments

    • Creative ways to express emotions

    • Support with emotional regulation

    • Small‑group connection and shared learning

  • Brush and Breathe is built on principles of safety, autonomy, and respect for neurodiversity.
    Young people are encouraged to participate in ways that feel comfortable — observing, creating, moving, or taking breaks as needed.
    There is no “right” way to make art here.

    • Medicare rebates available with a valid referral (currently $46.75 per session)

    • NDIS participants welcome (self‑managed or plan‑managed)
